When: Professional Development Due on Gradescope by Wed, Mar 25, 2026 @ 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted.

1. Imposter Syndrome

Why: Imposter syndrome is a common professional challenge that can affect confidence, performance, and decision-making. Understanding and recognizing imposter syndrome supports professional growth and self-awareness.

What: Watch the provided video How you can use impostor syndrome to your benefit. Then complete a written reflection addressing:

  • One way imposter syndrome can appear in academic, workplace, or team settings.

  • One specific strategy you could use to recognize or manage imposter syndrome in yourself.

2. LinkedIn / Resume Peer Review

Why: Peer review is a common professional practice used to improve communication materials through constructive feedback.

What: Review a teammate’s LinkedIn profile or resume using Purdue’s guidelines (LinkedIn or Resumes). Provide feedback that includes one strength and one suggested improvement, and share it with your peer via email or Microsoft Teams.

✓ Sprint Report

Why: The Sprint Report is part of your grade and helps you reflect on your past work. It also gives you the chance to step back, recognize your impact, and track your growth as a teammate and professional. Each section is designed to help you think about your role, your progress, and how you are applying professional skills in a real project setting.

What: For Sprint #12, your report has three parts:

  • Self-Evaluation - evaluate your presence, contributions, and collaboration using the provided rubrics, and justify your choices.

  • Implementation Check from Professional Development

  • Reflection - connect your experiences from this sprint to project practices and the program.
